Milan close on Miranda deal and have hope for January

Reports in Spain suggest Milan are on the verge of agreeing terms with Juan Miranda and could convince Real Betis to let him leave in January.

This is hardly the first time that the Rossoneri have been linked with Miranda, the 23-year-old left-back who has one senior cap for Spain, in which he scored a goal.

It would be a five-year contract with an improved salary at San Siro.

His contract with Betis is due to expire in June 2024, so with that ticking down, Milan have put themselves in pole position to take him on as a free agent.

However, with this in mind, it is reported that Real Betis are more open to considering a January sale so that they can at least get something out of the transfer.

Calciomercato.com claim the bid will be €3m plus bonuses.

Miranda will turn 24 in January and came up through the youth academies of both Betis and Barcelona.

He has made seven appearances this season in all competition.
