Reports in Germany suggest Milan have made a formal approach to Eintracht Frankfurt for defender Evan Ndicka.
The centre-back turns 23 next month and his contract with the Bundesliga side is due to expire in June 2023.
That means he is on the market and Bild claim that Milan have contacted Eintracht Frankfurt directly to begin negotiations.
He is a France Under-21 international who came up through the Auxerre youth academy, moving to Frankfurt in the summer of 2018 for €5.5m.
Ndicka already has 104 Bundesliga appearances under his belt, in which he scored nine goals and provided seven assists, an impressive tally for a central defender.
That’s also because he can play at left-back, and versatility is what Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli is seeking in his squad this season.
Milan have also been talking to Tottenham Hotspur on a possible loan with option to buy for centre-back Japhet Tanganga.
