Mihajlovic fears Viola see-saw

Sinisa Mihajlovic is worried that Fiorentina have gone from fearing relegation to targeting Europe in the space of a fortnight.

“Just a week after our draw against Bari, people are talking about the Europa League,” said the Coach ahead of today's trip to Chievo.

“This is football, there really is no middle ground. I think it's important to maintain a balance after victories and defeats.

“Chievo are a great side with fine players, but we also need strong legs to survive on the Bentegodi pitch. We must think positive and try to give our all in the remaining 10 games.”

Mihajlovic hinted at a possible tactical change for this game, moving Riccardo Montolivo to central midfield in an Andrea Pirlo style role.

“Yes, Riccardo can easily play in front of the defence and has the characteristics to excel in that position.

“We are also trying Juan Vargas on the left side midfield rather than as a winger. As for Adrian Mutu, he's a smart lad and knows his two goals against Catania were only the beginning. Adrian has a lot more to do and he knows that well.”
