Toro emerged with a 2-1 victory to stay in the hunt for a top six finish.

“I said at the start that our objective was to get into Europe within two years,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a very difficult match, which I saw coming, and it was very important for us to win against an opponent who caused us the most problems at home this season.

“If you’re not beautiful, try to be clinical and effective. We need to start playing better football, but we do have the most prolific attack and many points.

“Our attitude and approach must always be the same, no matter the venue or opponent. After that we can work on details like timing, when to speed up or slow down. I am sure we’ll improve in those areas too.

“As I am an honest Coach, I will say that for large spells Chievo played better than us. I compliment Rolando Maran and if they had equalised, nobody could’ve complained.”

Is it a coincidence that Falque scored the two goals after Mihajlovic started warming up Lucas Boye?

“Yes, that was my intention. He made a few misplaced passes, so I started Boye warming up and he scored two goals. If that helps, I’ll start warming everyone up from the first minute.”
