A report in Italy is suggesting that Walter Mazzarri is keen to end his relationship with Napoli at the end of the season.

The Coach is set to meet with club President Aurelio De Laurentiis the day after the team contest the Coppa Italia final with Juventus.

Mediaset are speculating that regardless of the outcome of both the Cup final and this meeting, Mazzarri will ask to terminate his contract with the club a year early.

Earlier today, the Coach outlined the topic that will be up for discussion when talking with De Laurentiis.

“To compete with Milan, Juventus, Inter and Roma, we should strengthen,” Mazzarri told La Repubblica today.

“I will have my say on the market at the end of the season. Will I asked that [Ezequiel] Lavezzi remains? At the end of the season I will talk.

“Meanwhile we focus on the last day of a season that has brought intense satisfaction, especially in the Champions League.

“I regret the game at Bologna. Despite the difficulties we were one step away from finishing in third place. Unfortunately though we have thrown away so many points along the way.”
