Walter Mazzarri prepares for Napoli’s home debut against Penarol and insists “the squad is complete.”

The Partenopei have brought in reinforcements like Gokhan Inler and Miguel Angel Britos, although more big names were linked to the club.

“We need to embrace the mentality of taking it one game at a time, giving our all in every occasion,” said the Coach on Radio Marte.

“In my view the squad is complete, because it is more than sufficient in terms of size and quality. Over the next few days we’ll also welcome back the South Americans from their vacation.”

This means Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and the others who took part in the Copa America won’t be playing in tomorrow’s friendly against Penarol.

“It will be very exciting to feel the embrace of the Stadio San Paolo again. This will be an important step towards reaching our best form and I expect our physical fitness to continue gradually improving.

“Of course it also represents an opportunity to celebrate with the San Paolo fans after our great achievements.”

Napoli have qualified for the Champions League for the first time in over 20 years and have been named as potential Scudetto contenders this season.
