Stefano Mauri’s lawyer has revealed that the former Lazio captain will meet the Biancocelesti next week to discuss a return.
The 35-year-old was released from the Aquile at the end of the season in the midst of his involvement in the ongoing calcioscommessse betting scandal.
However, the attacking midfielder was cleared of all wrongdoing last night and could now return to the club where he has spent the last ten seasons.

However, his lawyer Matteo Melandri revealed that there has also been interest from other Serie A clubs, Turkish sides and the Middle East.
“There are several options,” Melandri said to Tuttomercatoweb.
“There are possibilities in Serie A but also some abroad, although not from top clubs.
“The USA? There haven’t been any meetings, on the other teams have come forward from Turkey and the Middle East.
“Will he return to Lazio? We will see.
“For now there has been a telephone call, we’re waiting for the meeting that will take place next week.”
