Beppe Marotta says he is “very optimistic” that Juventus will beat Milan for the Supercoppa on Friday.
Milan have history on their side as they beat Juve on penalties in the last Supercoppa between the two teams, yet the Bianconeri travel to Doha on the back of dominant form in Serie A and a domestic double in 2015-16, which included beating the Diavolo in the Coppa Italia final.
“It’s the first trophy of the season up for grabs,” the general manager was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.

“As history tells us, Juventus always play to win. We’re also going [to Doha] to win.
“Of course, there’s the unpredictability of it being a one-off game so you also need to have that bit of luck.
“Still, I’m aware that the team are in good shape, have a will to win and strong motivations so I’m very optimistic.”
