Marcos Alonso, who is on very good terms with Antonio Conte, had been linked with a move to Inter but Marotta denied the Nerazzurri will sign him.
“His name is not on our agenda, he is not coming to Inter,” Marotta told Dazn before the kick-off of Lazio-Inter. Follow the Liveblog here.
The last couple of days of transfer negotiations will still be busy for Inter as Radja Nainggolan is expected to leave: “Keeping hold of a player who wants to leave is never a good idea,” Marotta said. The Belgian midfielder is reportedly keen to return to Cagliari for the third time in his career and Antonio Conte didn’t include him in the squad list for both Benevento and Lazio clashes.
Marotta did also have his say about the upcoming Juventus-Napoli clash which is not likely to be played as the Azzurri have not travelled to Turin: “We’ve begun another strange season and I don’t want to make judgements because I don’t know the circumstances in depth. However, there is a protocol that regulates this kind of situations.”
