Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca says the Blues are focusing on how to ‘hurt’ Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture.

The Italian tactician was the Premier League coach of the month for September.

His Chelsea side visit Liverpool at Anfield this weekend.

“It’s a team that kept some things from the previous coach and added new things,” Maresca told Sky Sport Italia.

“Surely, it’s a strong team that will fight at the top of the Premier League table this season. However, we’ll try to play our football, as we’ve done from the start. We always respect the opponent, but at the same time, we want to focus on how we can ultimately hurt them and prevent them from doing the same.”

Maresca signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge in June. His deal with Chelsea includes an option for a further campaign.
