Juventus” data-scaytid=”4″>Juventus are top of the table on their own for the first time since the Calciopoli scandal of 2006 and on Saturday night face a Nerazzurri side only two points clear of the relegation zone.

“It's very nice being top of the table,” the midfielder told Juventus Channel. “Yet there are some regrets, as we dropped all those points along the way, so could've been clearer in front.

“Our victory against Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”9″>Fiorentina was important. In the first half we played very well, even if we couldn't finish off the game, but at the end we were able to bring home three key points.”

On current form, Juventus are the favourites to conquer San Siro, especially as this season the Nerazzurri have scored only one goal at home in all competition.

“I don't trust them… Inter started the season badly, but they will have huge motivation against us,” continued Marchisio.

“They remain a great side with an excellent squad and it is bound to be a hard-fought match. They will raise the tempo to stop us playing, but we have the quality to continue along our path at San Siro too.”

Marchisio has changed his position under Antonio Conte and been remarkably prolific with three goals in the first eight games.

“Playing in a three-man midfield gives me more opportunity to push forward and it's no coincidence my goals came when we were playing with that system.

“With an extra midfielder we can win back the ball earlier and even if it seems like we're running harder, the truth is we're much closer to the opposition goal.

“Conte has given us great belief in our abilities and it is thanks to this that we are able to repeat in a match situation what we try every day in training.”
