“We have to step on to the field with the same attitude and approach we showed against Torino last week. That victory was very important, as we were coming off three consecutive defeats and this gave us confidence.
“That was a show of our maturity. We are not distracted by the derby coming up, as we are focused only on Sassuolo.”
The injury crisis continues, but Maran sees the glass half full.
“We have Nicola Rigoni back, as he was suspended, but have lost Lucas Castro to a bruised upper thigh. The emergency situation drags on, but the positive aspect is that we’ve proved ourselves to be a team, so those who don’t play as much are always ready to step in.”
