“We want to provide one of the classic Genoa performances against Juventus,” said the coach in his press conference.
“When there is a difference in the quality level of the two teams, we have to bridge that gap with attitude and team spirit. The fans would’ve given us fundamental support in this environment, but tomorrow we have to channel that passion and play our hearts out.”
The Bianconeri are fresh from a 3-0 Champions League victory away to Barcelona.
“I don’t think they needed that win to feel confident, as this is a side built to win. In turn, we mustn’t let ourselves be influenced by Juve’s results or our own position in the table. Our status will improve gradually, along with our performances.”
