Catania Coach Rolando Maran is convinced of his side’s ability to stay in Serie A ahead of their crucial game with Chievo.

The Elefanti are on a four game unbeaten run and the former Brescia tactician said his team have 14 cup finals ahead of them.

“We are aware of our strengths and we want to go out and impress and win at the Bentegodi,” Maran told ItaSportsPress.it.

“There are 14 finals and though it won’t be decisive, the game against Chievo is important.

“We now need to show our quality on the pitch.

“The Gialloblu are used to fighting relegation and we are ready for the battle too. We will approach it with aggression and concentration.

Maran was then asked whether he would be emotional going back to the club where he spent nine years as a player.

“I don’t have any more time to get emotional about my experience at Chievo,” he replied.

“I must only think about Catania.”
