“For us it is the start of a new season,” Maran, whose position was reported to be under threat after last weekend’s defeat to rivals Verona, told a Press conference.
“First and foremost, I have to be more incisive together with the team.
“We need to turn this situation around immediately.
“It has been a week of hard work and a lot of reflection, because certain things need to be dealt with at certain times.
“Against Milan, it will be a difficult test but it’s good that we have it now.”
