Diego Maradona has revealed he is open to the possibility of taking charge of the Venezuelan national team.
The South American nation missed out on qualification for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil and are the only country in the continent to have never appeared at a finals.
However, the Napoli icon has said he intends to meet with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro after the end of the 2014 tournament to discuss the post.

“I look for serious projects,” Maradona told Telesur. “I think that yes, if it’s with security, then maybe [I could take the job].
“We plan to talk a bit about everything, including the team.”
