“All games are difficult, especially at the end of the season. Bosnia are full of technically gifted players, so we knew it’d be tricky,” the Coach told Rai Sport.
“Perhaps we were a bit too stretched out in the first half, but we improved so much after the break. It’s not easy to turn a game like this around and we ran some risks on the counter, but it’s what we had to do.
“We dominated after the break and it was a deserved win. Perhaps we didn’t press well enough and were tired, which is what caused us to risk too many counters.
“Italy have always been a top level football nation, it’s just that some periods go better than others. The two goals were beautiful.”
