Roberto Mancini said he’s tactically versatile at Inter, won’t reunite with Mario Balotelli and is excited by the lack of transfer budget.
The club has fallen foul of Financial Fair Play rules recently and Mancio is far from upset that the kitty is empty.

“When someone starts playing football as a kid for fun, he always wants to win. That is within all of us. We don’t just want to take part,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
“I don’t know what will happen. I need to get to know the squad first. It’s not so easy to sign players in January to immediately strengthen a squad, as he either has to be a world class star or he’s likely to take time to settle. We need to see what is needed and what we can do with the current team.
“This is a wonderful challenge for me and one of the many reasons I accepted, as this is a young team and we can grow together. I think if we work well, have the same objectives and enthusiasm, then we can build a team that is young and strong for years to come.
“It is also very important for me that the team plays good football.”
There have even been reports of a reunion with ex-Manchester City striker Balotelli, who is unsettled at Liverpool, so Mancio was asked about this possibility.
“Mario is happy at Liverpool, he has a great chance and was fortunate enough to go back to one of England’s biggest clubs. He has to make the most of this opportunity.”
Walter Mazzarri was sacked on Friday, having been repeatedly jeered and insulted by the fans at San Siro.
“When we start this profession, we know what we’re getting into. There are many great aspects to it and bad ones too. We just have to do our best and hope not to get fired!
“I do Mazzarri’s job, so I can only be sad when these things happen. At times things go badly and the Coach is not to blame.”
Mazzarri was above all criticised for his reliance on three at the back, but Mancini assured the switch to four would not be automatic.
“In all honesty, I have no big problems with tactics, as I played with three at the back at Man City and Galatasaray. This is why I want to talk to the players and see what they think, the system they feel works best for them, and then I’ll decide.”
President Erick Thohir is in Indonesia, so all negotiations for Mancini were conducted via telephone.
“Just as I thanked Moratti for bringing me here in 2004, I thank Thohir for bringing me here now. I spoke to Thohir a couple of times on the phone, he seemed disappointed for Mazzarri and happy for me.
“He seems to me a good person and someone who wants to achieve great success with Inter, so hopefully together with the staff and club we can get back to where we were before.”
Mancini has not yet completed his staff, but confirmed he did ask David Platt to join him.
"I asked Platt, who I worked with at Manchester City, but David won't leave England."
