It’ll be worth €2m per year, plus bonuses in case of qualification for Euro 2020, and runs to June 2020.

There is also an option to extend it to June 2022 and he should make his debut on May 28 in a friendly against the UAE.

Italy have been without a Coach since Giampiero Ventura was sacked in November for missing out on the 2018 World Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti had been the favourite, but would prefer to continue his career at club level for the moment.
