Roberto Mancini is waiting for a proof of faith by the club's new Chinese owners before deciding whether to stay or leave.
The Coach is rumoured to be unhappy about the club's approach to the transfer market, starting from their refusal to pursue his prime target Yaya Toure. He is also said to feel neglected now after having been placed at the heart of the team's renaissance project last year.

Mancini had an atypical meeting with the club's CEO Michael Bolingbroke yesterday on a topic not related to the transfer market, but the contents of their exchange remain murky. Their dialogue lasted only a few minutes, which appears unusual as the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Bolingbroke was on holiday in the USA, and was flown back in by president Erick Thohir only for this face-to-face meeting. The CEO will return to California today to resume his vacations.
Mancini is therefore believed to be waiting for the new Chinese management to get in touch with him directly and confirm their faith in his work.
However, the Chinese have delegated all executive activity to Thohir for the moment, and are unlikely to set up a meeting now.
Although Mancini could choose to resign very quickly, some say even within the next 24 hours, he may also wait for Inter's tournee in the USA, which begins tomorrow. The Zhang family are expected to join them in New York on July 27, and that may be the opportunity for all parties to find some clarity.
