Manchester United are hoping to sign Napoli's star striker Gonzalo Higuain, scouted personally by Coach Louis Van Gaal.
El Pipita distinguished himself as almost certainly the best striker in Serie A this season, showing some excellent football and scoring 32 goals so far.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils are planning on taking him to Old Trafford for just short of €90m.
The player was apparently scouted by Van Gaal in person when the Partenopei clashed against Roma last Monday.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis repeatedly stated that he would not sell Higuain, though Argentina icon Diego Armando Maradona believes otherwise.
“I know De Laurentiis, and I think he will sell Higuain,” El Pibe told Piuenne TV, as reported by the Mirror. "Higuain gave his best to Napoli, I don't think he can repeat this kind of form.
"We already saw it happen with Ezequiel Lavezzi. With the money he will earn, he will have to build a great team."
