Man United open Ronaldo talks as Solskjaer refuses to rule out move

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refuses to rule out Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford with the Red Devils in talks with Jorge Mendes.

Ronaldo has informed Juventus that he wants to leave the club and has already left Turin with his private jet.

Manchester City are in advanced talks to secure his services, but Manchester United could surprisingly join the race for the 36-year-old.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of United’s Premier League clash against Wolves, Red Devils coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “I didn’t think Ronaldo was going to leave Juventus, speculation the last few days.

“We have always had good communication, Bruno has been talking to him. He knows how we feel about him, if he was ever going to move he knows we are here.”

According to Sportitalia  Manchester United made a ‘desperate attempt’ to sign Ronaldo last night. Fabrizio Romano also reports the Red Devils have been in talks with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes.

Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 games with the Bianconeri during his one-year spell in Turin.

He said goodbye to his teammates at Continassa this morning before leaving for Lisbon.
