The Rossoblu had been doing well, but recent results saw them plummet to the foot of the table alongside Parma, Cesena and Bari.
“We have to keep calm and humble. The important thing is to be effective and pick up points for our objective, which is safety and certainly not the Europa League,” said the Coach.

“Even if we were to win, that wouldn't change anything. We must not get moody. The season is very long and tough, so we have to take it slowly on a planned route.
“The path the club has set out for us is intriguing and fills me with enthusiasm.”
Bologna President Sergio Porcedda perhaps did not agree that they shouldn't have ups and downs, as he was furious after the 2-0 defeat to Cagliari last weekend.
“He didn't tell me off. Not even my parents did that,” insisted Malesani.
“We simply talked things over and we share the same views. The President was justly angry after having lost a match. Put yourself in his shoes.
“There has been a revolution here and a focus on youth. After many years, Bologna finally own some of their players rather than borrows them from other clubs. It is my job to make the most of them and help them grow, but it takes time.”
