Lucescu wary of Montella effect

Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu thinks that Roma's decision to appoint Vincenzo Montella changes the complexion of their Champions League tie.

The Ukrainian outfit won the first leg of their second round knock out tie 3-2 at the Olimpico and entertain Roma at the Donbas Arena next week.

Speaking to Centro Suono Sport, Lucescu said: "The change of Coach changes everything. Montella has brought enthusiasm. I don't think there will be many changes in terms of play.

"I think the problem was mental. I have seen Roma's games in the Champions League. Everyone expected an easy game in the first leg against Shakhtar.

"Regarding our fitness, we have played games. We went to Turkey. Tomorrow we start the League season then there is Roma. It will be another Roma. They will do well. The stadium will be very full.

"It could be the first time that we get to the Quarter-Finals. The second leg will be completely different from the first," he concluded.
