Lazio President Claudio Lotito has insisted that he does not want to weaken his squad this summer.

A number of Biancocelesti players have been linked with moves away from the capital during this transfer window, including Hernanes and Antonio Candreva.

But the owner has claimed that he will not be selling his top talent, whilst also commenting on potential arrivals.

“We want to build a squad that was more competitive than last year,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We just want to improve and grow.

“We have a team that can be refined, but we want to take stock of the situation.

“I will visit the Coach during the pre-season camp and then we will talk.

“Candreva? We do not want to weaken the team. He will remain in the capital.

“Matri? He is not a player we have looked at.”
