Samuele Longo is keeping Verona and Livorno waiting, so explained what he wants from them and Inter.

The striker spent last season on loan at Espanyol and has returned to the Inter base, but is not part of Coach Walter Mazzarri’s plans.

He has loan offers on the table from both Verona and Livorno, but is taking a few days to make a decision.

“I am waiting to know my future,” he told calciomercato.com. “I want to improve on last season in every sense, so I hope to be a protagonist.

“The clubs interested in me know how I feel about this. I consider myself fortunate to be on international duty with the Under-21 side, seeing as for the last 10 days I’ve only been training with Ezequiel Schelotto while the Inter team was in America.

“Clubs need more courage and to focus on youth, but at the end of the day it’s not just the Coach who makes certain decisions, it’s how the whole club is doing.

“I went to Spain in order to play, which I did to begin with, then a Coach arrived who had a different view on youngsters and I was left out.

“The economic crisis helps youth because there isn’t enough money to buy champions, so it’s easier for clubs to give you a chance, even if they ought to be even more courageous.”
