Manchester City assistant Attilio Lombardo is confident Italy “will win 1-0” tonight against England with Mario Balotelli playing “a great game.”
The former Sampdoria and Azzurri star gave his views on the Euro 2012 quarter-final in Kiev.
“As his agent said, Balotelli is relaxed before games,” Lombardo told Sky Sport Italia.
“We certainly all expect a lot from him and tonight he will be eager to prove what he can do. I don’t expect his Manchester City teammates to provoke him.
“Mario wants to do well for Italy and for himself, as he is a crucial part of Cesare Prandelli’s squad.
“Having said that, the Azzurri do not depend on Balotelli, but I am sure Mario will play a great game.”
England manager Roy Hodgson is no stranger to Serie A either, having coached Inter and Udinese.
“He is a seasoned Coach who worked in Italy and therefore knows the Azzurri very well. My prediction for the night is that Italy will win 1-0.”
