“We must believe in our chances, also because Real are an opponent that allows you to play – even if they are dangerous when they have possession,” said the Bosman signing from Athletic Bilbao.
“Personally I am happy to be playing against a Spanish team, especially one as big as Real Madrid,” he continued.
“But we have shown what we can do and we have started well, perhaps not as well as we had hoped in the Champions League and for this reason we now have to do well in these two games that lie ahead.
“We have a good opportunity of obtaining points against Real, even if it won’t be easy.”
The 28-year-old added: “It is always exciting to play in a stadium like the Bernabeu, where I have only won once, but that I have scored a couple of times in.
“I’m sure Real Madrid will face us with the maximum respect given that they know we are a great side.”
Llorente started in the 4-2 loss at Fiorentina on Sunday, but he was unable to improve on just one goal in his Bianconero career to date.
