Roma's Adem Ljajic has explained that his gesture in celebration after scoring against Torino was aimed at the media, not the fans.
The 23-year-old netted the final goal in the Giallorossi’s 3-0 victory over Toro earlier this month and reacted by cupping his ear and then putting his finger to his mouth, before being engulfed by his teammates.
“It wasn't directed to anyone in particular. It was just a moment in which I did not feel appreciated, and it felt spontaneous to do that,” Ljajic considered to Sky Sport Italia.

“There are so many gossipmongers and often I don't even understand why they're talking.
“They take it out on me and some of my teammates even when we do nothing wrong, as we always give our utmost for this team and for this shirt, which is so important to us.
“I have nothing against the fans, I do with those people who write in the newspapers.”
Speaking about himself, he said: “For me all goals are important, even the easy ones.
“It was a nice goal, and I liked the controlled stop better than the goal itself. I hope to keep going like this.
“I'm happy to stay with Roma another 10 years,” Ljajic continued, on a more positive note. “We have the strength to win the Scudetto.”
