They’re prepared to offer Alisson a five-year contract worth €6m per season plus bonuses, more than the agreement he reached in principle with Real Madrid.
However, Roma continue to insist on at least €70m, and have made it clear they won’t wait forever for an acceptable offer, as they’d need time to find a replacement.
The alternatives would be Alphonse Areolo or Salvatore Sirigu, but it’s not yet clear if Alisson would accept Liverpool as his heart is said to be set on Real Madrid.
