Inter regret sending Marko Livaja on loan to Atalanta in January, as they are without strikers for tomorrow’s game, but he insists “I’d like to stay in Bergamo.”

The 19-year-old scored four goals in six Europa League matches for Inter this season before he was released on a six-month loan.

His parent club could really do with him right now, as Diego Milito and Rodrigo Palacio are injured, leaving only Antonio Cassano and Tommaso Rocchi for tomorrow night's encounter. Click here for a match preview.

“I really hope to score a goal against Inter,” he told TuttoAtalanta. “Obviously a striker always wants to score and if it were up to me I’d gladly find the net in every match.

“It’s a shame about Palacio, as he is one of the best forwards in Italy. He was also very kind to me and gave me good advice.

“I am very happy here and at the end of the season the two clubs will decide what to do, but I’d like to stay in Bergamo.”

Livaja has had problems, though, as he was dropped for last week’s game with Sampdoria due to disciplinary reasons.

“I really want to get back on to the field and leave what happened behind me.”
