The Rossoneri have Nigel de Jong out suspended and Riccardo Montolivo injured, but Diego Lopez, Marco van Ginkel, Jeremy Menez and Giacomo Bonaventura are on the bench after shaking off injuries.

El Shaarawy said this week he was “annoyed” at being dropped, so the Little Pharaoh has his chance to prove himself in he starting XI alongside Fernando Torres and Keisuke Honda.

Ghanaian midfielders Michael Essien – who had to publicly deny he had Ebola this week – and Sulley Muntari pair up.

Verona are flying high yet again this season and are on 11 points alongside Milan, so this is a head-to-head for Europe.

Lazaros Christodoulopoulos, Jacopo Sala and Mounir Obbadi are out of action, but the Stadio Bentegodi is a notoriously tough place for Milan to visit.

They lost here last season and famously fumbled the Scudetto in a 5-3 defeat in 1973 that became known as ‘Fatal Verona.’

Toni bagged a brace in this fixture last term and will be shining his scoring boots again this afternoon.
