Leicester City are ready to complete the deal for Stefano Sensi and are preparing to welcome the Inter midfielder today.
The 28-year-old Italian midfielder was an unused substitute in the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win away to Fiorentina on Sunday evening, a game that’ll prove to be his last with the club following a difficult four-and-a-half-year spell.
Enzo Maresca’s Leicester have agreed to sign Sensi from Inter on a €500,000 loan deal with a circa €2m conditional obligation to buy clause attached, dependant on their promotion to the Premier League.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the final documents are now being completed for Sensi’s move from Inter to Leicester and he’s set to fly to England later today to carry out his medicals and finalise his transfer.
The Italian midfielder’s time with the Nerazzurri can ultimately be summed up by one word: regrets. He shined in his first six games, scoring three goals and providing four assists, but a series of injuries
derailed his time at the club and ultimately forced him to the fringes of the squad.
