Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani admits signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be ‘difficult’ but ‘will see’ about Edinson Cavani. ‘He’s still available…’

Leeds recently ended their 16-year wait for a return to the Premier League and Radrizzani talked to Sky Sport Italia about his plans in the transfer market, starting with Ibrahimovic.

The 38-year-old has been a key player for Milan since moving back to the club in January but is out of contract at the end of the season, with no renewal presently forthcoming.

“Ibrahimovic will certainly be difficult,” said the Italian businessman.

“We tried to sign him in January, but he chose to join Milan and the deal vanished.

“Now I think it’s too late, the intensity of English football is different.”

However, the 45-year-old was more optimistic about bringing in former Napoli striker Cavani, who is currently a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

“In addition to his quality, Cavani could contribute with his physicality and adapt here, but I’ve never talked about him with the coach.

“Having said that, we’ve certainly thought about him and we’ll see, given he’s still available on a free transfer.”
