Giulio Donati has claimed he is ready to limit Napoli, as Lecce will approach Sunday’s match at the San Paolo with “a lot of energy”.
After a big 4-0 win against Torino, the confidence is high at the Via del Mare and Lecce are currently 17th in the League.
There are three points down to Genoa in the relegation zone and Donati has encouraged his team to keep the “attention” up against the Partenopei this weekend.

There are three points down to Genoa in the relegation zone and Donati has encouraged his team to keep the “attention” up against the Partenopei this weekend.
“I had a good feeling before the match against Torino, because the team have trained with a lot of intensity,” he said at a press conference. “We will come out against Napoli with a lot of energy and attention.
“They’re a team that creates a lot and moves around a lot. That’s why we will have to not give them the opportunities.”
Donati returned to Italy in December, after a period in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz 05.
He has already played five times in Serie A since the move and has been receiving a lot of praise for his contribution in the Giallorossi defence.
“The fact that I immediately fell into this reality is thanks to the group,” he added. “It may seem like an obvious thing to say, but it’s the truth. All of the lads have been are very humble and are always available.
“I prefer not to talk about what I’m doing on the pitch, I’ll let other people make their judgements. I will focus on the physical aspect and I feel really good.”
He revealed that there’s a more tactical approach in Italy, compared to how he was used to play in the German Bundesliga.
“There’s more attention to the tactical aspect here and you study your opponents, you have more balance,” he revealed. “In Germany, on the other hand, you dare to attack more.”
