Rafael Leao insists Milan ‘deserve to be in the Champions League’ and he doesn’t mind which role he takes in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s absence.
With Ibrahimovic suspended for offending the referee, it remains to be seen if Leao will lead the way against Genoa or Mario Mandzukic.
If he is not the centre-forward, then Leao could take a deeper role in support instead.

“It doesn’t matter what role I play in, whether it’s as a centre-forward or winger, the important thing is to help the team, score goals, provide assists and give my best whenever I have the opportunity,” Leao told Sky Sport Italia.
“Ibrahimovic is a very important player for us, both on and off the pitch, but there are other players who can make the difference too.
“It’s a very important game coming up against Genoa. We’re moving into the final weeks of the season and must do everything to help out team finish in the Champions League places.
“Milan is a big club and deserves to be in the Champions League.”
