Lazio will wear special shirts during tonight’s Serie A match against Udinese with the slogan: ‘No racism.’

The Lega Calcio gave permission for the club to change its jersey to use a social services message at the Stadio Olimpico.

It is particularly important for President Claudio Lotito and the club to drum home the slogan after a series of ugly incidents.

Lazio were fined for racist chanting during the first leg of their Europa League meeting with Tottenham, while anti-Semitic chants and banners were spotted in the second match.

A group of Spurs fans were also attacked by hooligans in an anti-Semitic attack in a bar in Rome, although so far no Lazio ultras have been arrested.

Lotito visited one of the Tottenham fans in hospital this week.
