However, the player’s agent has made clear that Partizan are playing hardball, with a dispute over an amount way below that figure.
“I am aware of this operation but it is not yet 100 per cent,” Dusan Milojevic has told Lalaziosiamonoi.it today.
“The problem is that Partizan are asking for €600,000 for the transfer, even though his contract expires in January 2015.
“It is a figure that is too high, he only has four months left on his contract and then he will be free.
“Let’s see what happens, I have not spoken directly with Lazio and do not know what they can offer, but I think that it will be a sum less than asked for by his club.
“We are very angry with Partizan, who are looking only to their interests.
“At this moment it is very difficult to close the deal. We can possibly sign a pre-contract for January, when he will be free.
“We will wait to get in touch with Lazio as the offer received has been directly to Partizan.
“A couple of offers have arrived for the player, but we think that Lazio is a great club for him, probably the best.
“He has had offers from Turkey, Poland, Switzerland and Germany, but he likes Italy.”
