Lazio target Agger and Douglas

The latest Lazio transfer targets in defence are Daniel Agger of Brondby and Dnipro’s Douglas.

The Biancocelesti need to reinforce their back line after a serious injury ruled Stefan de Vrij out for the rest of the season.

Former Liverpool defender Agger is back in Denmark with Brondby and already 31 years old, but would bring a great deal of experience to the side.

Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero claims there has been an approach for Agger, but that it’d be difficult to draw him away from his home country.

He would be considerably cheaper than first choice Douglas of Dnipro, a 25-year-old Brazilian who is under contract until June 2017.

It is believed Douglas (pictured) would cost in the region of €5.5m.
