Roma striker Fabio Borini was a transfer target for Lazio over the summer, the Biancocelesti have confirmed.
New Italian international Borini will face the Aquile on Sunday and sporting director Igli Tare is a little concerned.
“I’d keep a close eye on Borini,” the Albanian told Sky Sport Italia ahead of the Stadio Olimpico derby clash.
“We were following him too before he went to Parma. There is a little regret as we were thinking about him as well.”
The 20-year-old joined Parma in the summer on a free transfer once his contract at Chelsea expired.
He then joined the Giallorossi on loan in August before the Lupi bought a 50 per cent share in him during the January transfer window.
Roma yesterday confirmed that Borini would also spend the 2012-13 season with them after agreeing a deal with Parma.
