Lazio could make a shock move for either Pato or Mario Balotelli should they qualify for the Champions League, say reports.
The Biancocelesti face Bayer Leverkusen on August 18 and 26 in two games that are worth access to the Champions League and the enormous cash-flow that follows.
Should they make it into the European tournament, Lazio's transfer market plans could change drastically.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, among their more clamorous operations would be a potential bid for Pato or Balotelli.

Should they make it into the European tournament, Lazio's transfer market plans could change drastically.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, among their more clamorous operations would be a potential bid for Pato or Balotelli.
Pato is currently onloan to Sao Paulo until the end of this year, but is owned by Corinthians. The Aquile may be able to swoop him for €6-8m.
Balotelli is a more complex case, as his salary amounts to €6m per year and President Claudio Lotito is unwilling to look kindly on that expense.
Liverpool are desperately trying to sell the player, who has been marginalised from the squad, and may be willing to pay up to 60% of the player's wages.
This would be part of a plan by the player's agent Mino Raiola, which would see Balotelli join Lazio for a €2m loan with a non-mandatory option to purchase for €18m.
