The 23-year-old right-sided winger completed the transfer from Hertha Berlin for €22m plus bonuses this week, signing on until June 2023.
“Inter are an enormous club, right at the top level, with great history full of success, plus they’re in the Champions League,” the Austria international told Berliner Zeitung newspaper.

“I’ll always be grateful to the Hertha Berlin fans and the club for all the support they gave me. Of course, I’m proud that Inter spent so much on the transfer, as it means they really believe in me.
“It’ll be a completely new environment for me in an incredible stadium and I can’t wait to get started. Serie A has always had a high profile and there are excellent players returning to Italian football, so that shows the level is improving again. You can’t really compare to the Bundesliga, as they have completely different football cultures.”
