Amid reports PSG and Anzhi are making offers for Ezequiel Lavezzi, Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis warns “his destiny is tied to the buy-out clause.”

The striker has a clause in his contract allowing clubs to release him for around €31m, though some reports set the figure at €32m.

“Lavezzi has a buy-out clause in his contract and his destiny is tied to that,” De Laurentiis told the Corriere dello Sport.

“He isn’t just wanted in Italy and France, but also in England, Germany and Russia.”

Today there are suggestions Paris Saint-Germain have proposed €23m cash plus another €6m in performance-related bonuses.

This surpasses Inter’s bid, but Russian side Anzhi are capable of topping that sum and could swoop in with a new offer.

Meanwhile, President De Laurentiis commented on Coach Walter Mazzarri and tomorrow’s Coppa Italia Final against Juventus.

“Mazzarri is our Coach, not just in terms of his contract, but also the fact we share the choices made so far.

“Reaching the Final is something to be proud of. In these years we worked very hard for the Napoli fans.

“I hope the 30,000 fans at the Olimpico, but also those at home, can celebrate on Sunday evening. It would be the right reward for the team, Coach and club.”
