Lautaro trains with boyhood club

Lautaro Martinez trained with his boyhood club Atlético Liniers while on holiday in Argentina.

The Inter striker won the Copa America with La Seleccion and the Serie A title with Inter in 2020-21 and is currently on holiday in his native country.

On Monday, he returned where his career began and trained with Club Atlético Liniers.

Lautaro left the club at 16 to join Racing de Avellaneda.

The training session lasted two hours and El Toro even took part in the tactical session.

“Every time he returns here, his priority is to train with all the lads. Everybody was happy, not only those of the first team, but also the youth players who were watching him in training,” the club’s President Carlos Pablo told Olé.

“He will return for another training session, I hugged him and told him: ‘Thank you for this joy.’ Lautaro loves this club and he represents what we want to teach to our guys.

“We try to transmit our sense of belonging and make them grow as good people. With him we obtain both results.”

“It’s always an immense join to return to the place where I was taught many values,” the Inter forward wrote on Instagram.

“Happy to see the club has improved in terms of works and infrastructure so that the boys can have all their comfort, train and have fun”.
