Lautaro agent discusses contract renewal and summer Saudi offer

Lautaro Martinez’s agent, Alejandro Camano, has insisted that his client is very likely to sign a new deal with Inter, while also insisting that the Argentine had no intentions of leaving the club this summer, despite having lucrative offers on the table.

Martinez is now into his sixth full season with the Nerazzurri, having joined from Racing in 2018. He had scored 79 Serie A goals from 173 appearances before the start of this season and has since added an impressive five from six onto that tally.

Over the summer, Lautaro was also appointed as Inter’s new captain, further cementing the overwhelmingly positive relationship between the player and his employers.

Speaking recently to TVPlay, reported by Calciomercato, Camano said: “Lautaro doesn’t want to hear anything other than Inter. Saudi Arabia is a market full of temptations and he had offers, not just from there.

“But, when I tell him about these options, he tells me ‘Inter Ale, Inter’,” the agent continued.

“The sense of belonging is important and he has it in abundance here. To the team, to the project, to the players, Lautaro doesn’t listen to anything other than Inter. I think a renewal is a real possibility.”

Camano went on to explain that his client is very happy in the city of Milan and that his partner is also expecting a child.

On the pitch, Martinez is said to be happy with the recent performances, both individually and as a team and is honoured to have assumed the captaincy this summer.

“I believe it’s important for everyone to have a lasting connection. He rejected many options because he wants to stay at Inter. The relationship with Inter is familiar, we have worked together for many years. We will feel at home in a calm environment,” Camano said.
