Kozak: ‘Lazio, beware Sparta’

Former Lazio striker Libor Kozak warns the club that Europa League opponents Sparta Prague ‘won’t be easy to face’.

Kozak is a Czech Republic international and played for the Aquile between 2008 and 2013.

He warned his old club about his compatriots, although admits that ‘Lazio are stronger on paper and should control the game’.

“At this point of the competition it’s difficult to talk about weak teams,” Kozak said to LaLazioSiamoNoi.

He warned his old club about his compatriots, although admits that ‘Lazio are stronger on paper and should control the game’.

“At this point of the competition it’s difficult to talk about weak teams,” Kozak said to LaLazioSiamoNoi.

“Considering the possible opponents like Liverpool and Manchester United, they’re definitely a more acceptable team to meet.

“Lazio have a great chance of getting through, but Sparta Prague did very well against Krasnodar and won’t be easy to face.

“Sparta Prague play well because they play as a team. There isn’t one big player who scores more goals or who is more decisive.

“The team works hard and are in good form. Lazio are stronger on paper, so I think they’ll manage to control the game.

“I played with David Lafata for the national team. He was bad, he hadn’t played for a while, I don’t know if he’ll be in form.

“He’s a classic penalty box striker, he’s in the right place at the right time – he’s the same type as Inzaghi.

“For me Lazio is everything. I started there at the top level, they will always stay in my heart. They’re the number one team, they gave me the chance to play at the highest level.

“I’ve never played with a striker better than Klose. It was a fantastic experience for me to play and train with him. On top of being a great player he’s also a great person.

“I hope he scores some goals because he’s playing less, he definitely deserves to keep celebrating.”
