Roma left-back Aleksandar Kolarov has ruled out returning to Red Star Belgrade. “I intend to end my career abroad.”
Kolarov was linked with Red Star – the club where he started out – over the summer, but the 34-year-old made it clear a move back was not on the cards.
“Red Star are a great club, I played for them as a child,” he told rts.rs.
“However, I don’t have any ambitions of returning to Serbian football. I intend to end my career abroad.”

The Serb’s contract with Roma expires at the end of the season and Corriere dello Sport reports the club want to tie him down until 2022.
However, it adds he is preferring to keep his options open and see how the campaign pans out before possibly putting pen to paper.
