Miroslav Klose insists he wants to recover in time for Euro 2012, but also to help Lazio “and score a few goals” in Serie A this season.
The 33-year-old has been out of action for a month after a tear in his left thigh muscle and the Biancocelesti have admitted his season could be over, at least as far as they are concerned.
“If possible, I’d like to get back on to the field with Lazio in the final weeks of the season and score a few goals,” Klose told German paper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
“Those who know me are well aware that my career is far from over. I am not worried by Euro 2012 and want to be a protagonist in that competition.”
The striker added recovery time from a thigh problem is always “variable,” so is not concerned by the lack of a set return date.
