Corriere dello Sport are reporting that veteran striker Miroslav Klose could yet remain at Lazio beyond the end of the current campaign.

The German, 35, is out of contract at the end of the season and has reportedly received contract offers from clubs in Major League Soccer, as well as in his homeland and other European countries.

However, it is thought that Klose, who is currently fighting for a place in Germany Coach Joachim Low’s World Cup squad, could be in line for talks of a renewal with the Biancocelesti.

Reports in Italy suggest that Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare may meet with Klose as soon as next week to initiate negotiations.

The player is thought to want to continue his career for another one or two seasons before hanging up his boots and is seen as likely to make a final decision regarding his future before the end of the month.
