Karamoh: ‘Happy to be at Inter’

Yann Karamoh is “very happy” to be at Inter, as his agent admits “it wasn’t easy” to negotiate with Caen.

The youngster’s move to the Nerazzurri appeared to be dead yesterday, but the deal was revived and the transfer was officially confirmed earlier today.

“I’m very happy to be at Inter,” Karamoh told Sky.

“My inspiration is Neymar, he’s my favourite player. I’ve chosen number 17. Forza Inter!”

The deal is a loan with option to buy, which is expected to become an obligation once certain conditions are met, but Karamoh’s agent admits it wasn’t an easy deal to get over the line.

“Caen are a difficult club to negotiate with, they’ve sold good players in the past,” Oscar Damiani explained.

“It wasn’t easy, but Piero Ausilio and Walter Sabatini were determined to get him and there was his conviction to come here, despite the fact a lot of teams wanted him.

“He’ll be a great signing for the Nerazzurri. Tomorrow he’ll be at Appian Gentile to get to know the directors and the coaches.”
